626 miles Hixson TN TO CHICAGO IL
Another travel day to get to the kickoff spot. This will be the longest day of the whole trip. We left the hotel at sunrise and arrived here at 930 pm with gaining an hour.
I had planned and accounted for losing some fuel efficiency with the trailer weight etc. I did not account for the extra time for the additional fuel stops.
As some of you may know, Honda doesn’t make a trike. They are up fitted by a third party. Unfortunately that didn’t include a larger fuel tank. So I have a seven gallon tank, and I’m carrying an extra gallon as a reserve. So our range currently on the interstate is only about 110 miles. thankfully past trips have shown that slower riding is better fuel wise then the interstate so hopefully the economy will improve once we start the actually route.
I have a few minor things to tweak at the campsite tomorrow night including adding this website to the trailer!
