162 miles Tulsa OK to El Reno Ok
Since we got engaged in Tulsa we are partial to the city. We went around and saw the neons last night and didn’t leave town until like 3pm. We made a few stops starting with the Blue Whale in Catoosa
We had visited this before, but it used to be family owned and was a little shed gift shop. They have sold it to the city and they expanded the gift shop, added modern restrooms etc. however the guest of honor remains thankfully untouched.
We went to pops place as well and I tripped on a hose and fell in the parking lot. And I split my lip and hurt my arm a bit, which contributed to the next part.
We have been struggling badly with the heat, and so has the motorcycle. I also am more convinced we overpacked. So, we made the bittersweet decision to switch to a car for our health and to avoid damaging the bike with the excess heat and load. the motorcycle and trailer are being put in storage and we will swing by on the way back, and I can try it with no load and her following in the car to hopefully make it safely home.
So tomorrow will be a later start while we shuffle the deck a bit.
